It is 1500 years after the lifetime of Uzumaki Naruto and his friends, as well as that of Uchiha Madara. The shinobi world has become a single nation, known as 'Ikkozaisho;' The One Nation. In years past, after the fourth great ninja war, the respective daimyo of each shinobi nation decided upon electing a single supreme leader over all the kages, and themselves.

This leader became known as the emperor over the land, and passed down his leadership within his own family. As we all have learned, however, power corrupts any lineage with time, and the line of successive emperors was no exception. Within two centuries of the decision being made, the emperors soon became dictatorial in nature. It wasn't long before they began to oppress the people, and the shinobi rose to oppose them. This led to another war, which ended in the defeat and subsequent suppression of the shinobi way of life.

Century upon century passed by, technology changed with the times, and the world of the great ninja was replaced with an industrial land of steel, machinery, and corrupt power.
